Dear Sir/Madam,
I am a user of Leadtool 15 and now there is a puzzling problem on TIFF(G3/G4) image compression, and I am wondering if you can provide some information for it.
The following is the procdure we are using TIFF(G3/G4) file to create PDF file:
Method 1:
Get BMP image from Leadtool
Convert the BMP image to TIFF G4 through GDI+
Compress the TIFF image and write it to PDF file
This process works fine under XP or Vista, but on Windows 7, the TIFF G4 file is multi Strip image and it seems that the GDI+ can not control the number of strips, that is to say, on OS other than Windows 7, the TIFF image is single strip, but on Windows 7, it is multi strip, thus the final PDF file that uses the multi strip TIFF file can not be opened by Acrobat.
Method 2:
Get BMP image from Leadtool
Convert the BMP image to TIFF G4 through Leadtool
Compress the TIFF image and write it to PDF file
This time, the TIFF G4 file is single strip, but the final PDF file still can not be opened, and similarly, the process works fine except on Windows 7.
Is there any problem for GDI+ on windows 7, and why can Leadtool create single strip TIFF image?
We are truly thankful if you can provide some solution or explanation for the problem.

Our Win32 and x64 toolkits (both the C-style DLLs and the .NET classes) do not use GDI+ to perform CCITT compression. We have our own Fax compression code and it works on all supported Windows versions including XP, Vista and 7.
Our toolkits allow you to control TIFF tiles or strips, in addition to other TIFF options, always producing valid TIFF files. What other programs or components can or cannot do with these valid TIFF images is outside the scope of LEADTOOLS.
Please note that our optional PDF plug-in allows you to compress images and save them as PDF pages directly using CCITT Group3/4 compression, without having to save them as TIFF first. For more information about our PDF plug-in, see this link:
