Why the ActiveX(OCX) platform support has been removed in version16.5 of Lead Tools?

Are there any advantages in doing so ?

LEADTOOLS Imaging does have ActiveX but it does not have support for Barcode. When the barcode engine was re-written in recent versions of the toolkit, the new design was not implemented as an ActiveX control.

There is a DLL API, a C++ Class Library and native .NET classes for barcode. If you are using a programming environment that doesn't support either of these and support COM objects, you can use our COM interop barcode objects which are COM wrappers of our .NET classes.
