Hello,
We are evaluating ePrint in order to create pdf files.
We would like to do the following:
- Open a .doc file in WSS 3.0 (Sharepoint)
- Save this doc file with ePrint directly into the same Sharepoint library again
- When saving, the dialog box (save as...) should display the filename already so that it does not have to be typed again with only the difference that it is now a pdf file
- I suspect that the pdf saved will not have the same document version number in Sharepoint as the doc file, maybe you have some info on this issue, I know its more of a Sharepoint issue and not a ePrint related matter....
Any help is much appreciated
Cheers, Stefan

Stefan,
Although LEADTOOLS ePrint can save to a SharePoint location, it only gets its input from print jobs.
The print job itself cannot contain information about the original location of the source file, so there is no way for ePrint to automatically save the output to the same location on SharePoint.
The same thing applies for the document version on the server. Since ePrint only get a print job, it cannot know what version the input file was.

Many thanks for this quick answer. What you say makes absolutely
sense. When saving the file, would I be able to navigate to the
original location of the file in order to save the pdf there? If not,
where in Sharepoint would the file be stored?
Regards,
Stefan

Stefan,
Yes, you can enter the servername or location in the save location and navigate through the Sharepoint server.
