Where I work we have a licensed version of LeadTools 16.5. Although the documentation does not say which version of VC++ this version of LeadTools supports, looking at the LeadTools DLLs using Dependency Walker, they link to the VC++ 9 ( VS2008 ) RTL. Is there an update of this version which will work with VC++ 10 ( VS2010 ) ? Or is it necessary to upgrade to LeadTools 17.5 to get VC++ 10 support ?

Hello,
At the top of the help file topic
Files To Be Include With Your Application, we list what VC++ runtime files are necessary for any application using LEADTOOLS. With the latest v16.5 files, they are built against the VC++ 2008 runtime as you have mentioned.
LEADTOOLS v17 was the first version to include binaries built against the VC++ 2010 runtime. You'll need to upgrade for this support.
