I have three documents that have a code 128 barcode. Using the LeadTools demo in v13 the barcodes are either not found or return the wrong text. Under v17 the demo works fine for all three barcodes. Have there been fixes or changes that would explain this difference? Can the v13 problems be handled within v13?

The barcode engine of the newer version 17.5 is more powerful than the old engine. That's why it automatically detects a broader range of barcodes, even if they're not in perfect condition.
For some images, if you pre-process it in v13, you can improve the recognition result.
For this particular image, if I used the intensity detect function with values (180, 255) and v13 barcode was able to read it after that.
