Document File Formats: (Analyzed Layout and Text Object) ALTO

ALTO (Analyzed Layout and Text Object) is an open XML Schema developed by the Library of Congress for OCR text and layout information.

The LEADTOOLS Document Writers support creating ALTO documents. For more information, refer to AltoXmlDocumentOptions. The following features are supported:

Unlimited number of pages
Fully searchable documents
Full support for ALTO standard XML elements and attributes
