Programming with LEADTOOLS SANE Functions

The LEADTOOLS SANE SDK provides the following support for SANE specifications: 

• Native support: All versions
• Network support: 1.0.3 and later (All SANE daemon versions “SANE daemon starts 1.0.3 and later”)

Programming can begin as soon as the LEADTOOLS SANE SDK and the Scanner Access Now Easy (SANE) device are installed and configured for the system. The LEADTOOLS SANE API is a library used by SANE front-end applications. The following figure shows a box model of the components:

LEADTOOLS provides functions for:

• Acquiring images from a selected SANE source.
• Getting and setting SANE option values.

LEADTOOLS uses a SANE handle to provide the means for acquiring pages from SANE devices. The SANE handle is a communication session between LEADTOOLS SANE and the SANE device.
