Shift Data - Image Processing Function
Summary
Select a specified number of bits from an 8, 12 or 16-bit grayscale image into a mask and place the mask in a new 8-bit gray image.

Use as a visualization aid to select certain bits of the supported type image and display them in another image. Also used for Motorola image formats.
