Retrieves a string that contains the capture stream type.

pVal | Pointer to a variable to be updated with a string that contains the stream type. Possible values are: | |

MEDIATYPE_Stream | The stream is a byte stream with no time stamps. For example, a hardware compressed stream. | |
MEDIATYPE_Interleaved | The stream type is interleaved. For example, stream used by Digital Video (DV ). | |
MEDIATYPE_Video | The stream type is video. |

The string referenced by Type contains a formatted Globally Unique Identifier (GUID) of the form {xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx}.
If the function succeeds, the caller must free the BSTR referenced by Type, by calling the SysFreeString function.
