Product Description:

The LEADTOOLS Document Imaging toolkit includes all of the display functionality in LEADTOOLS Imaging Pro, and adds extra features to meet the specific demands of the document imaging market. Key features include:

Powerful annotation capabilities, including Silverlight and WPF annotations
WCF Services that support file conversion, image processing, document cleanup. There are also WCF Services available as add-on modules that support the 1D and 2D Barcode and OCR.
Windows Workflow components that support file conversion, image processing, document cleanup, and high speed scanning. There are also Windows Workflow components available as add-on modules that support the 1D and 2D Barcode and OCR.
Silverlight image viewer control for panning, zooming, scrolling, and more

Specialized functions can be used to process scanned images and vastly improve image quality. When used in conjunction with OCR pre-processing, these greatly improve recognition accuracy and performance. LEADTOOLS Doc-Clean features remove noise, borders, lines and hole punches, smooth text, and invert white on black text. Other functions straighten skewed bank checks and digitized images (deskew), fatten thinning lines and text (dilatation) and thin text that appears too thick (erosion).

LEADTOOLS WCF services are included for image conversion, image processing, document image cleanup, OCR, and barcode detection. These services may be accessed via several protocols including HTTP, TCP, IPC and MSMQ, and hosted in a variety of environments including IIS, Windows Activation Services, and within standard .NET applications (Winforms, WPF, Workflow, ASP.NET).

LEADTOOLS Windows Workflow components are also included adding support for image conversion, image processing, document image cleanup, OCR, barcode detection, and high speed TWAIN scanning. Workflow components can be used within Windows Workflow applications, as well as other environments that support Workflow components such as Sharepoint.

The LEADTOOLS Silverlight image viewer control features several user interactive modes including pan, scale, center at, zoom to and a customizable mag glass. Additionally, images can be zoomed and displayed using several different size modes such as normal, fit, fit width and stretch. Native load and save support for over 100 image formats and over 130 image processing functions/pixel shaders is also included. When used in conjunction with our WCF Services, the control can be extended to support 150+ formats.

The LEADTOOLS Silverlight Windows Phone image viewer control features Silverlight image viewer control for the Windows Phone environment.

In addition, the LEADTOOLS MRC (Mixed Raster Content) file format results in both high compression factors and high detail retention. This format enhances LEADTOOLS file input/output functionality by adding support for raster color documents containing mixed image and text components.

LEADTOOLS Document Imaging also fully supports all three types of powerful JBIG and JBIG 2 compression technology, including progressive save. This allows you to store and send multiple representations of images at different resolutions without additional storage overhead.

Even more powerful is LEADTOOLS proprietary Advanced Bitonal Compression (ABC) compression. Superior to JBIG2, LZW, TIFF Group 4, ABIC, and other 1-bit compression, both read and write capability is included with LEADTOOLS Document Imaging.

Additional bitonal (black-and-white) scaling and display options greatly increase the quality and readability of black and white images on the screen. You can use images acquired as document (halftone), grayscale or color in image-intensive applications such as bank check and form processing, stock photo collections, and interactive websites, and archives.
