Detect, read, and write barcodes in images with LEADTOOLS Barcode technology.
LEADTOOLS barcode recognition is very fast and outperforms most hardware-supported barcode read products. This software engine permits fast document scanners to maintain full speed while performing barcode recognition operations on the fly for document-indexing purposes.
Developers can provide optional configuration settings that affect the detection speed, including the number of barcodes expected, the barcode orientation, and the potential location of the barcodes. This control of search parameters can improve the speed of barcode detection.
With this technology, programmers can easily include code in their applications to read and write more than 100 types and sub-types of linear and two-dimensional barcode symbologies, including GS1 Databar (1D), formerly RSS14, GS1 Databar(1D), formerly RSS14, DataMatrix (2D), PDF417 (2D), MicroPDF 417 (2D), QR (2D), MicroQR (2D), Aztec (2D), and Maxi (2D) barcodes.
For background and full details, see Barcode Technology.
