ExistsMetadataXml Method

Summary

Returns true if an XML metadata representation exists in the database for sopInstanceUid; otherwise false.

Syntax

public bool ExistsMetadataXml( 
   string sopInstanceUid 
)

Parameters

sopInstanceUid

the SOP Instance UID (0008,0018) of the DicomDataSet

Return Value

true if an XML metadata representation exists in the database for sopInstanceUid; otherwise false.

Remarks

Use this method to determine if XML formatted metadata corresponding to sopInstanceUid is already present in the MetadataXml database table. If the metadata does not exist, it can be easily generated by calling StoreMetadataXml.
