Specifies how the OCR document engine will handle the trade-off between accuracy and speed during auto-zoning and recognition.

Parameters

L_HDOC2 hDoc

Handle to the OCR document.

L_INT nDocId

Document ID created by calling L_Doc2CreateDocument.

DOC2_RECOGMODULE_TRADEOFF TradeOff

Value that represents the trade-off setting to be used. For a list of possible values, refer to DOC2_RECOGMODULE_TRADEOFF.

Specifies the trade-off setting (accuracy, balance, or speed) of the OCR document engine that will be used during auto-zoning and recognition.

To apply auto-zone detection in a specific page, call the L_Doc2FindZones / L_Doc2FindZonesExt function. To recognize a page, call the L_Doc2Recognize / L_Doc2RecognizeExt function.

The OCR document engine trade-off setting is effective for the following recognition modules:

• DOC2_RECOGMODULE_MTEXT_OMNIFONT: omnifont multi-lingual module.
• DOC2_RECOGMODULE_MULTI_LINGUAL_OMNIFONT: omnifont module.
• DOC2_RECOGMODULE_MATRIX: matrix matching recognition module.
• DOC2_RECOGMODULE_HAND_PRINTED_NUMERAL: hand-printed numeral module.
• DOC2_RECOGMODULE_RER_PRINTED: hand-printed module.

The trade-off setting does not influence the behavior of any other DOC2_RECOGMODULE recognition module. Not all the above modules interpret the settings in the same way.

If L_Doc2SetRecognizeModuleTradeOffExt is not called, the default value, DOC2_RECGMD_ACCURATE, is applied.
