Summary

Queries for patient information with the specified matching parameters and ExtraQueryOptions.

matchingEntitiesCollection

A MatchingParameterCollection which includes the matching parameters for the query.

options

ExtraQueryOptions that further limit the results of the query.

The System.Data.DataSet which contains the patient's information that matches the query parameters.

The matchingEntitiesCollection can be from any level and they are not limited to the patient level.

Which means you can query for patients using the Study Instance UID in the study level or modalities in the series level.
