Summary

LEADTOOLS Barcode Module functions allow you to read and write barcodes from/to an image.

LEADTOOLS Barcode features provide support for adding barcode recognition technology to applications developed with LEADTOOLS toolkits. LEADTOOLS Barcode Module functions allow you to read barcodes, write barcodes and find duplicate barcodes within an image.

LEADTOOLS barcode recognition is very fast; it outperforms most hardware-supported barcode read products. This software engine permits fast document scanners to maintain full speed while performing barcode recognition operations on the fly for document-indexing purposes.

Developers have the ability to provide optional configuration settings affecting the detection speed, including the number of barcodes expected, the barcode orientation, and the potential location of the barcodes. This flexibility in search parameters can improve the speed of barcode detection.

This module allows programmers to easily include code in their applications to read and write Linear (1D), DataMatrix (2D), PDF417 (2D), MicroPDF 417 (2D), QR (2D), MicroQR (2D), Aztec (2D) and Maxi (2D) barcodes. It includes support for 100 types and sub-types. LEADTOOLS 1D Linear (read/write) support includes read/write support for GS1 Databar (formerly RSS14) and GS1 Databar (formerly RSS14) Expanded on multiple lines (Stacked version).
