GS1 Databar / RSS 14 Barcodes in LEADTOOLS
GS1 Databar, formerly known as Reduced Space Symbology (RSS), is a large family of barcodes that encode a GTIN-12 or GTIN-13 data structure within a 14-digit barcode. The various GS1 Databar symbols have specific features that allow them to be read by different types of scanners. GS1 Databar Omni-directional barcodes encode the full 14-digit EAN.UCC item identification in a linear symbol. They can be scanned omni-directionally by suitably programmed point-of-sale scanners.

GS1 Databar Truncated / RSS-14 Truncated
GS1 Databar Truncated has the same data characteristics as the GS1 Databar barcode, except the bar height is set to the GS1 Databar standard of 13 times the X dimension.

GS1 Databar Stacked / RSS-14 Stacked
GS1 Databar Stacked is a variation of the GS1 Databar symbology that is stacked in two rows. It is used when the normal symbol would be too wide for the application.

The Omni-directional version of GS1 Databar Stacked can be scanned omni-directionally. This symbology does not allow for human-readable text with the barcode.

The data being encoded is separated to create a split-level barcode. The height of each row is ascertained from the bar's height property of the control. The barcode contains a separator pattern, containing no data, which has a height equal to 3 times the X dimension. |
