IltmfTargetFormat::put_VideoEncodeQuality

Summary

Sets a value specifying the tradeoff between encoding quality and encoding speed.

C++ HRESULT put_VideoEncodeQuality(newVal)

Parameters

IltmfTargetFormat *pTargetFormat

Pointer to an IltmfTargetFormat interface.

long newVal

long value that specify the tradeoff between encoding quality and encoding speed.

Returns

Value Meaning
S_OK The function was successful.
<> S_OK An error occurred. Refer to the Error Codes or the HRESULT error codes in the MediaFoundation documentation.

Comments

This value can be between 0 and 100, where 0 indicates a Lower quality and faster encoding, while 100 indicates Higher quality but slower encoding.

To get the current value call IltmfTargetFormat::get_VideoEncodeQuality.
