Installation Directory: Windows

The LEADTOOLS Installer creates a directory tree for the LEADTOOLS files, demonstration programs and online help. You specify the root directory during installation.

Binaries and Executables

Subdirectory	Contents
Bin\CDLL	Visual Studio 2022 for Win32 and x64 Platforms.
	Most of the LEADTOOLS binaries are linked statically to the Microsoft C/C++ runtime.
	Some require the specified version of the Microsoft C/C++ runtime.

Bin\Common	Common Executable and Sample Files
Bin\DotNet4	.NET Class Library files for .NET 4.0 and later for Win32 and x64 platforms.
	LEADTOOLS binaries for .NET 4.0 require the Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 Runtime files to be distributed in the application's PATH.
	For more information, see Files To Be Included With Your Application.
Bin\Java	Java files for each assembly in the Java toolkit.
Bin\JS	JavaScript files for each assembly in the LEADTOOLS HTML5 / JavaScript toolkit
Bin\Linux	Linux binaries - x64 (*.so)
Bin\net	.NET 6+ files (.dll, .exe, *.json)).

Bin\Common\PrinterDriver	LEADTOOLS Virtual Printer Driver Engine common runtime files. For information on how to deploy these files, refer to LEADTOOLS Virtual Printer Driver Engine Redistributable Files for C API or LEADTOOLS Virtual Printer Driver Engine Redistributable Files for .NET.

Xamarin Framework Deprecation

As of LEADTOOLS v23, The cross-platform Xamarin framework has been deprecated and replaced with LEADTOOLS .NET MAUI framework.

For any LEADTOOLS Xamarin apps you have already built, we recommend you migrate to the LEADTOOLS .NET MAUI framework. To help you with the migration, review the LEADTOOLS .NET MAUI tutorials to get you started.

This change is driven by Microsoft's announcement to end Xamarin support.
