LDicomNet::SetMaxCommBlockLengthISCL

#include "ltdic.h"

L_UINT32 LDicomNet::SetMaxCommBlockLengthISCL (nMaxCommBlockLength);

Sets the maximum communication block length that can be sent/received by the current entity. This function is available in the PACS Imaging toolkits.

Parameters

L_UINT32 nMaxCommBlockLength

Size of the communication block length.

Returns

Value Meaning
DICOM_SUCCESS Success. The maximum communication block length was set. During mutual authentication, the client and server will agree to use the smaller communication block size of the two.
DICOM_ERROR An error occurred. This usually occurs if the nMaxCommBlockLength was too small for the maximum standard packet size (168 bytes).

Comments

An ISCL communication block contains a 32-byte header, followed by data, if data is included.

NOTE: The size of the ISCL packets is 32 bytes larger than the communication block length, because of the header.
