The LEAD MXF Multiplexer can be used to create files based on the MXF Base File Format described in SMPTE 377M. The supported MXF Operational Patterns are OP-Atom (SMPTE 390M), OP-1a (SMPTE 378M) and OP-1b (SMPTE 391M).
The MXF Base File Format is the format used by most professional video editing software. See the LEAD MXF Demultiplexer page for more details.
The LEAD MXF Multiplexer does not support every video and audio compression. The following compressions are supported:
DV video compression
MPEG-2 video compression
H.264 (MPEG-4 Part 10) video compression
MJPEG 2000 video compression
MPEG-1 audio compression
AC3 audio compression
PCM uncompressed audio
