IltmfConvert::get_TargetFormats

Summary

Retrieves the target format collection object.

Syntax

Parameters

IltmfConvert *pConvert

Pointer to an IltmfConvert interface.

IltmfTargetFormats **pVal

Pointer to a variable that receives the target format collection interface pointer.

Returns

Value Meaning
S_OK The function was successful.
<> S_OK An error occurred. Refer to the Error Codes or the HRESULT error codes in the MediaFoundation documentation.

Comments

The returned IltmfTargetFormats interface is used to enumerate the available output formats, and to select the format to use for conversion. See IltmfTargetFormats for details.

If the function succeeds, the caller must free the returned interface pointer by calling the interface's Release method.

Target format

The format to be used for the converted file. This includes the file format, any special settings used by that format, and which audio and/or video codec is to be used for the conversion, and any special settings used by the codecs.

Codec

A COmpressor combined with a DECompressor, or encoder and a decoder, which allows you to both compress and decompress that same data.
