IltmfPlay::put_Volume

Summary

Sets the volume (amplitude) of the audio signal.

Syntax

Language Syntax
C HRESULT IltmfPlay_put_Volume(pPlay, newVal)
C++ HRESULT put_Volume(newVal)

Parameters

IltmfPlay *pPlay

Pointer to an IltmfPlay interface.

long newVal

Value to which to set the volume. The allowable input range is 10,000 to 0.

Returns

Value Meaning
S_OK The function was successful.
<> S_OK An error occurred. Refer to the Error Codes or the HRESULT error codes in the MediaFoundation documentation.

Comments

Full volume is 0, and 10,000 is silence; the scale is logarithmic. Multiply the desired decibel level by 100 (for example 10,000 = 100 dB).
