Summary

Adds a Transfer Syntax to the specified Presentation Context.

Syntax

L_LTDIC_API L_INT L_DicomAddTransfer(hPDU, nID, pszUID)

Parameters

L_UCHAR nID

Presentation ID. The presentation ID provides information about both the class type of the data and the transfer syntax to use when transferring the data.

L_TCHAR * pszUID

Character string that contains the new Transfer Syntax to add. For a list of possible values, refer to Transfer Syntax Values. This parameter cannot exceed PDU_MAX_UID_SIZE + 1, including the null character at the end.

Returns

Value	Meaning
DICOM_SUCCESS	The function was successful.
>0	An error occurred. Refer to Return Codes.

Comments

A DICOM Associate (Request or Accept) can have multiple Presentation Contexts. A Transfer Syntax can be added by specifying the ID for the appropriate Presentation Context to which to add the Transfer Syntax.
