The file format is used in electronic banking systems to represent checks as images in files. Each file can contain a number of checks, each check having two images: one for the front side and one for the back side. The file also contains information about each check and the entire Cash Letter. For more information, refer to https://www.checkimagecentral.org/check-information. From there you can download the "Universal Companion Document Version 1.3", which is the companion document for X9.100-187-2013.
LEADTOOLS supports loading the X9.37 and X9.100-187 versions through the X9 filter. This file format does not support QFactor, progressive loading, stamps, lossless JPEG compression, multipage or sub-formats.
The default extension used by this format is: x9.
