The LEAD MXF Demultiplexer can be used to play files based on the MXF Base File Format described in SMPTE 377M, encoded with DV, MPEG2, H264 or MJPEG 2000 video compression and MPEG, AC3 or PCM audio compression. The supported MXF Operational Patterns are OP-Atom (SMPTE 390M), OP-1a (SMPTE 378M) and OP-1b (SMPTE 391M).
The MXF Base File Format is the output format used by most professional video editing software.
The LEAD MXF Demultiplexer does not support every video and audio compression. The following compressions are supported:
DV video compression
MPEG-2 video compression
H.264 (MPEG-4 Part 10) video compression
MJPEG 2000 video compression
MPEG-1 audio compression
AC3 audio compression
PCM uncompressed audio
