IltmmConvert::put_UseDVDSource

Summary

Sets a value that indicates whether the IltmmConvert object will use the DVD Source object when attempting to play a DVD image.

Parameters

IltmmConvert *pConvert

Pointer to an IltmmConvert interface.

VARIANT_BOOL newVal

Flag that indicates whether the IltmmConvert object will use the DVD Source object when attempting to play a DVD image. Possible values are:

Value	Meaning
VARIANT_TRUE	Use the DVD Source object to play a DVD image.
VARIANT_FALSE	Do not use the DVD Source object to play a DVD image.

Comments

Setting the UseDVDSource property in the convert object to VARIANT_TRUE instructs the convert object to use the DVD Source filter instead of the default DVD Navigator. Using the DVD Source filter makes it possible to select the important parts of the video and ignore the rest. It also makes it possible to accurately preview the chapter selections being used for a conversion. Additionally, you can select which audio track to convert and which subtitle stream to include during conversion. For example, you can select the Spanish audio track or French subtitles if they available on the DVD.
