IltmmMediaInfo::get_StreamSubtypeName

Summary

Retrieves the name of the subtype of the current stream in the source media file.

Syntax

C HRESULT IltmmMediaInfo_get_StreamSubtypeName(pMediaInfo, pVal)
C++ HRESULT get_StreamTypeName(pVal)

Parameters

IltmmMediaInfo *pMediaInfo

Pointer to an IltmmMediaInfo Interface.

BSTR *pVal

Pointer to a string to be updated with the name of the subtype of the current stream.

Returns

Value Meaning
S_OK The function was successful.
<> S_OK An error occurred. Refer to the Error Codes or the HRESULT error codes in the DirectShow documentation.

Comments

Call SysFreeString to free the memory allocated for the string when it is no longer needed.

To get the number of the current stream, call IltmmMediaInfo::get_CurrentStream.

To set the current stream, call IltmmMediaInfo::put_CurrentStream. Once the current stream has been set, information about that stream can be obtained by calling any of the following functions:
