OpenFile Method

Summary

Opens a disk file for reading as an ILeadStream object.

Parameters

fileName

Path to the file on disk.

Return Value

ILeadStream object. This method returns an instance of LeadFileStream.

Remarks

This method will create a new instance of LeadFileStream with FileName set to fileName and the file mode and share set to read-only. This object can then be passed to the various LEADTOOLS class members that accept an ILeadStream object. Such as RasterCodecs.GetInformationAsync, RasterCodecs.LoadAsync or RasterCodecs.LoadSvgAsync.

The method will create a new instance of LeadFileStream using:

return new LeadFileStream(fileName, FileMode.Open, FileAccess.Read, FileShare.Read);

Requirements

For .NET Framework: A reference to the Leadtools.Async.dll assembly is required to use this functionality.

For .NET Standard: This functionality is included in the Leadtools.dll assembly.
