IltmmDVDControl::NotifyParentalLevelChange

Summary

Specifies if the DVD Navigator notifies the application when the parental level changes.

Parameters

IltmmDVDControl *pDVD

Pointer to an IltmmDVDControl interface.

VARIANT_BOOL notify

A Boolean value that specifies the parental level change notification status. Possible values are:

Setting	Description
VARIANT_TRUE	Enable notification.
VARIANT_FALSE	Disable notification.

Returns

Value	Meaning
S_OK	The function ran successfully.
<> S_OK	An error occurred. Refer to the Error Codes or the HRESULT error codes in the DirectShow documentation.

Comments

If the programmer calls this function with the Notify parameter set to VARIANT_TRUE, the DVD Navigator will notify the application when the DVD player attempts to play content that is at a higher parental level than the current parental level, set by calling IltmmDVDControl::SelectParentalLevel. The programmer should then ask for a username/password to enable the playing of the higher level content. The request is accepted or denied by calling IltmmDVDControl::AcceptParentalLevelChange.
