IltmmWMProfileManager::SaveProfile

Summary

Saves a profile to a string buffer, in the form of an XML-formatted string.

Parameters

IltmmWMProfileManager *pProfMan

Pointer to an IltmmWMProfileManager interface.

IltmmWMProfile *Profile

Pointer to an IltmmWMProfile interface that references the object containing the profile data to be saved.

BSTR *pVal

Pointer to a string to be updated with the profile data in the form of an XML-formatted string.

Returns

Value	Meaning
S_OK	The function was successful.
<> S_OK	An error occurred. Refer to the Error Codes or the HRESULT error codes in the DirectShow documentation.

Comments

The string obtained from this function should not be modified directly. To change the profile settings, load the saved profile using IltmmWMProfileManager::LoadProfileByData and change the settings using the (IltmmWMProfile interface). You can save the string in a file for later use. The file must have a "prx" extension.

Call SysFreeString to free the memory allocated for the string when it is no longer needed.
