Double-click the desktop icon for the LEADTOOLS Patient Updater.
Log onto the application.
When the LEADTOOLS Patient Updater dialog appears, move the cursor to the Patient ID field and enter the Patient ID of the patient containing the information that you want to move. For example, to move a series from Patient 999-30-1239's record to Patient 999-12-9795's record, enter 999-30-1239 into the LEADTOOLS Patient Updater to locate those images first. After moving, the selected series will belong to Patient 999-12-9795.
Next, click the Search button. The Patients list view fills with the results of the search.
Select the patient record having the series to be moved from the Patients list view on the left side of the LEADTOOLS Patient Updater dialog. When a patient record is selected, the Series list view fills with the series associated with that patient record.
Next, select the series to be moved from the Series list. Selecting a series enables the Edit Series and Delete Series buttons.
Note: If all series listed for the patient need to be moved to another patient, you can either move them one series at a time, or merge the two records by following the Merging one patient record with another patient record procedure.
Select a series from the Series list view, and click Edit Series.
Clicking the Edit Series button opens the Edit Series dialog. On the left side of the dialog the existing information for the patient and series displays. On the right side of the dialog the editable fields are displayed. Select the Move Study To Existing Patient radio button on the right side of the dialog.
Selecting the Move Study To Existing Patient radio button disables all fields except for the Patient ID. Enter the Patient ID for the destination record. Entering a different, complete Patient ID enables the Search button. Click Search. If the search is successful, the information for that Patient ID fills the entry fields and the Copy and Move buttons become enabled.
Note: If you receive a message that says Patient with specified ID was not found, then the patient does not have any approved images in the system. Treat such a case as if the patient does not exist in the system. Use the How To Move a Series To a Patient that Does Not Exist in the System procedure.
Verify that the search results display the correct patient record. In the example shown, you would need to confirm that this series belongs to Johnnie Smithfield with a Patient ID of 000000000. If the information is correct, click Move.
Clicking Move opens the Input Reason for Merging Study dialog. Enter the reason for moving the series. Entering a reason enables the OK button.
Click OK to confirm.
After clicking OK, there is a brief pause while the LEADTOOLS Patient Updater makes the changes. When the update has finished, a message box appears to let you know the change was successful. Click Close to complete the process and return to the main LEADTOOLS Patient Updater dialog.
