ILTDvdWriter *pDVDWriter;	pointer to an interface
VARIANT_BOOL *pVal;	pointer to a variable

Retrieves the image overwrite status of the DVD writer.

Parameter	Description
pDVDWriter	Pointer to an ILTDvdWriter interface.
pVal	Pointer to a variable to be updated with a value that indicates whether the existing DVD image will be overwritten. Possible values are:
	Value	Meaning
	VARIANT_TRUE	The DVD writer will delete (overwrite) the existing DVD image at the next write operation.
	VARIANT_FALSE	The DVD writer will append new titles to the existing DVD image at the next write operation.

Returns

S_OK	The function was successful.
<> S_OK	An error occurred. Refer to the Error Codes or the HRESULT error codes in the DirectShow documentation.

Comments

To add a new title to the DVD image being created, overwriting must be disabled before writing the image. To disable overwriting, call ILTDvdWriter::put_Overwrite with the newVal parameter set to VARIANT_FALSE.
