IltmmWMStreamConfig *pStreamConfig;	pointer to an interface
BSTR *pVal;	pointer to a string

Gets the major type of the stream.

Parameter	Description
pStreamConfig	Pointer to an IltmmWMStreamConfig.
pVal	Pointer to a string to be updated with the CLSID string that indicates the stream type. Possible values are:
	Value	Meaning
	ltmmMEDIATYPE_Video	Video stream
	ltmmMEDIATYPE_Audio	Audio stream
	ltmmMEDIATYPE_Text	Script stream
	For a list of media types refer to Formats, Media Types and Media Subtypes.

S_OK	The function was successful.
<> S_OK	An error occurred. Refer to the Error Codes or the HRESULT error codes in the DirectShow documentation.

Comments

Call SysFreeString to free the memory allocated for the string when it is no longer needed.
