Retrieves the index of the input that matches the specified name.

Pointer to a variable that receives zero based index of the matching input. A value of 1 indicates that no match was found. |

An inputs name is unique. An application can use this function to find a specific input. An inputs name can be retrieved with the IltmmCaptureInput::get_Name function or by using the LTMM DirectShow Filter List Utility.
