IltmmCapture::AllocTarget

C Syntax	HRESULT IltmmCapture_AllocTarget(pCapture, Size)
C++ Syntax	HRESULT AllocTarget(Size)

IltmmCapture *pCapture;	pointer to an interface
long Size;	target size

Pre-allocates the target to the specified size.

Parameter	Description
pCapture	Pointer to an IltmmCapture interface.
Size	Value containing the size in megabytes of the target to be allocated.

Returns

S_OK	The function was successful.
<> S_OK	An error occurred. Refer to the Error Codes or the HRESULT error codes in the DirectShow documentation.

Comments

This function is typically used when the target is defined as a file. For best capture results, always capture to a defragmented, pre-allocated capture file that is larger than the size of the capture data.
