ILMMixCapSrcStream::GetAudioLevel

Summary

Retrieves the stream's audio output level.

Parameters

ILMMixCapSrcStream * pixCapSrcStream

Pointer to an ILMMixCapSrcStream interface.

DOUBLE *pLeft

Pointer to a variable that receives the stream's left channel output level.

DOUBLE *pRight

Pointer to a variable that receives the stream's right channel output level.

Returns

Value Meaning
S_OK The function was successful.
<> S_OK An error occurred. Refer to the Error Codes or the HRESULT error codes in the DirectShow documentation.

Comments

Audio level is expressed as a windowed average from 0.0 to 1.0:

Use the following formula to convert the audio level to the decibel (dB) scale:

Decibels = 20 * log10(Level)

To retrieve or specify the stream's volume, call ILMMixCapSrcStream::get_Volume or ILMMixCapSrcStream::put_Volume.
