LFile::GetFormatFileExtension

Summary

Gets the default file extension for the specified format.

Syntax

L_INT LFile::GetFormatFileExtension(nFormat, pszExtension, uExtensionCount)

Parameters

L_INT nFormat

The file format value. For possible values, refer to LFile::GetInfo.

L_TCHAR *pszExtension

Pointer to a variable to be updated with the default file extension for the specified format.

L_UINT uExtensionCount

Size in characters of the string buffer pointed to by pszExtension.

Returns

Value Meaning
SUCCESS The function was successful.
< 1 An error occurred. Refer to Return Codes.

Comments

The buffer for the string should be large enough to hold the string that will be copied (usually 4-5 characters, but in the worst case it can be as large as 256 characters).
