File Formats: Microsoft Office Word format (DOC, DOCX)

Note: DOCX and DOC file formats are supported in the Document/Medical products.

LEADTOOLS supports reading the following Microsoft Office Word formats:

DOC (97-2003)

The DOC file extension is used for Microsoft Word documents. Word is a popular word processing program. Word is part of the Microsoft Office Suite of software. DOC files use a Binary Interchange File Format to store word processing data and are proprietary to Microsoft.

LEADTOOLS supports loading DOC (97-2003) files through the DOC filter.

DOCX

Microsoft Word 2007 is a word processor designed by Microsoft. It is XML-based file format used for creating documents such as letters, brochures, learning activities, tests, quizzes and students' homework assignments. It has many feature tools like tables, images and lists. For more information, refer to Microsoft Word.

LEADTOOLS supports loading DOCX files through the DOCX filter.

The default extension used by this format is: DOCX.

This file format does not support QFactor, progressive loading, stamps, Lossless JPEG compression or Sub-formats.
